We’re on the home straight. Exciting times. Week 8 and Week 9 kinda blended into one another. Apologies for being late with the Week 8 video. I was rushing to make sure I have my parts ready for the photo shoot.
In week 8, I finished up the last of the painting, adding rust, wear and weathering. Also painted up the crew miniature figurines.
I rented a photography studio to do a shoot of the parts of the Colossus before they are assembled. The idea was suggested by Goi from Lucidity design studio, and a big thanks to him for conducting the shoot. The reason why I opted for a more professional shoot was because we wanted to have an impactful backdrop for the NYCC 2015 booth. So the idea of shooting all 400+ parts came up. And since the backdrop is 10′ x 10′, I needed some serious megapixel.
This week 9’s video was not taken by me. May from WFRIC World came along to lend a hand and help take the videos. She was not familiar at all with the camera, so please pardon the quality of the footage. Another big thanks to WFRIC World for sponsoring the rental of the studio and equipment for the shoot.
